Material Farming Route Tips

Maximize your farming efficiency with these strategies for every material type.

World Boss Materials
  • Cost: 40 Resin per claim (60 for Weekly Bosses).
  • Drops: avg 2.5 boss mats per run at WL8 (range 2-3).
  • Also drops elemental gemstones, artifacts, and companion XP.
  • Boss respawns ~3 minutes after claim (teleport away and back).
  • 46 boss mats total needed for 1→90 ascension.
  • Plan for ~19 runs (760 Resin) to get all boss mats plus gems.
Local Specialties
  • 168 items needed for full 1→90 ascension.
  • Respawn timer: 48 hours (real time).
  • Farm in co-op to double your collection per cycle.
  • Use the official interactive map (Teyvat Map) for exact locations.
  • Equip Klee / Mika / Yanfei (passive reveals Mondstadt / Liyue specialties on minimap).
  • Some specialties can be grown in the Serenitea Pot (Luxuriant Glebe / Orderly Meadow).
Common Enemy Materials
  • Total needed: 18 T1 + 30 T2 + 36 T3 for 1→90.
  • Use the Adventurer's Handbook (F1) → Enemies tab to auto-track nearby mobs.
  • Respawn: most common enemies respawn daily at server reset.
  • Craft lower tiers upward at the alchemy bench (3 T1 → 1 T2, 3 T2 → 1 T3).
  • Use Sucrose (10% chance double craft) or Albedo (10% refund) when crafting.
Elemental Gemstones
  • Total needed: 1 Sliver + 9 Fragments + 9 Chunks + 6 Gemstones.
  • World bosses drop gems matching their element alongside boss mats.
  • Dust of Azoth (Stardust shop) lets you convert gems between elements at the alchemy bench.
  • Weekly bosses drop gemstones at a high rate -- always do your weeklies.
  • Craft upward: 3 Slivers → 1 Fragment, 3 Fragments → 1 Chunk, 3 Chunks → 1 Gemstone.
  • Parametric Transformer can yield gem fragments (weekly, 150 items fed).
Talent Books & Domains
  • Each book series is available 2 days per week + all on Sunday.
  • Per talent 1→10: 3 Teachings + 21 Guides + 38 Philosophies.
  • Triple-crowning 1→10 costs: 9 Teachings, 63 Guides, 114 Philosophies.
  • Cost: 20 Resin per domain run. Condensed Resin doubles drops per run.
  • Plan around the weekly schedule -- check the Domains page.
Crowns of Insight
  • Required to level any talent from 9 → 10 (1 Crown per talent).
  • Max 3 Crowns per character (one per talent) for triple-crown.
  • Sources: events (main source, ~1-2 per patch), Frostbearing Tree, Sacred Sakura, Tree of Dreams, Fountain of Lucine, Tablet of Tona.
  • Crowns are the scarcest resource in Genshin -- spend them wisely on key talents.
  • Priority: Burst/Skill talents that scale team damage > Normal Attack for on-field carries.
Ley Lines (EXP & Mora)
  • Blossom of Revelation (blue, 20 Resin): avg ~122,500 character EXP per run.
  • Blossom of Wealth (gold, 20 Resin): 60,000 Mora per run at WL8.
  • Leveling 1→90 requires ~8.36 million EXP (about 419 Hero's Wits).
  • Total ascension + leveling mora for 1→90: ~1.67 million Mora.
  • Use Condensed Resin (craft at alchemy bench, 40 Resin → 1 Condensed) for 2x rewards per run.
